Yesterday I went to Lourdes with Diane! We left at half 8 and at half 11 we got there! First of all we dropped Steve off at his starting point so he could go for his bike ride! Then me and diane went off to Lourdes! It was AMAZING. The church was just, wow! Its amazing to see how many people put their heart and sole into a religion. The place where the vision of the virgin Mary was seen is some sort of a cave bit. Its not a cave cave but its been dug out a little, and people walk around this oval shap cave touching the stone all the way around. Apparently is was something to do with love? Im not too sure, but it was interesting!
After the Church, we went to "Le Chateau Fort de Lourdes". That was pretty cool! Its a big castle on top of a hill! We had a quick look round there and went off to pick steve up form his long bike ride through the mountains!
There was so much tack being sold in the shops! they even had a jesus with a halo but the halo was decorated with fairy lights. Diane said I should have got one! I stuck with just buying a postcard to remind me of the day!
To top the day off nicely, we went out for a pizza! OH and in the morning, Diane had lost a diamond out of her engament ring, so as soon as we got home we were on our hands and knees trying to find this tiny diamond! Luckily Diane found it! PHEWF!
Anyway, I will write again probably later on. The rugby is just about to start and im going to watch it!
